Some items of good news regarding the International Journal of Organizational Innovation and the International Conference on Organizational Innovation.
The first news item regards a change in policy for submission of articles to the Annual Conference and Journal.   The Board of Directors of IAOI and Dr. Charles Shieh, the Director of the International Conference on Organizational Innovation have had discussions regarding the relationship of the articles published in the journal to articles presented at the Conference. It was agreed that if an article has been accepted for inclusion in the Journal, it will automatically be accepted for inclusion in the presentations for the conference. Authors  would still have to register for the conference, and you still need to submit your article to the conference following the guidelines presented on the conference webpage. In your cover letter to the Conference, please include either: a copy of the email informing you that your article has been accepted for inclusion in the journal OR the citation of your article including the volume and number of the issue of IJOI that your article was published in. However, a paper presented at the Conference would still have to go through the peer review process of the journal because that review process has a different purpose and is a much more extensive review. We have added this information to the Journal and Conference websites.
The second change of policy is that an Editor, Associate Editor or Assistant Editor/Reviewer of the Journal may have an article published in the Journal at 50% of the normal publication fee of $40.00/page to($20/page- editing fees are not reduced). The article would still have to follow author guidelines and have to be approved through the peer review process of the journal. This policy begins with articles submitted after May 1, 2011 and is not retroactive to articles that have been published in the Journal prior to May 1, 2011. In the cover letter with your submission, please include a statement that you are an Editor of the journal (there are over 40 of you!), and that the reduced publication rate applies to the submission if accepted for publication. See the Journal webpage for author guidelines and details regarding the submission process: http://www.ijoi-online.org/
